1.Karst limestone
Karst topography is a landscape formed from the dissolution of soluble rocks such as limestone, dolomite, and gypsum. It is characterized by underground drainage systems with sinkholes and caves.
2.Tomo
Tomo is the Maori term for a sinkhole or entrance to a cave or hole in the ground. Tomo are formed when groundwater dissolves underlying limestone rock.
3.Geology
The science which deals with the physical structure and substance of the earth, their history, and the processes which act on them.
4.Persistence is the ability to stick with something. If you practice the violin for over a year in order to play "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" perfectly, that's persistence!Persistence can also mean something that lasts for a very long time.

- Steve looked for Herbie until he found him because he loved Herbie and Herbie was his best friend.
- While Steve was looking for Herbie it was getting dark and late. and Steve started to go back to Takaka hill to look for Herbie there.
- Steve works at the Taka ka dairy factory and is also part time farmer, so he´s pretty busy.
- Steve still hasn't found Herbie, after about 50 meters he stopped and checked the tracker and the tracker said that it was coming from behind him.
- While Steve was following the tracker he was walking in a zigzagging line.
Chris is a keen climber, and he wanted to find out how deep the tomo was.

I rate this text 9 out of 10 because he lost Herbie at the start and he did find him at the end so I rate this 9 out of 10.
Evaluation C.
When Herbie hadn’t turned up overnight,Steve went back to Takaka Hill to look for him again.
I rate this sentence 10 out of 10 because he didn’t stop looking for Herbie until he found him so I rate it 10 out of 10.
Two days of work at the factory followed, which meant Steve wasn’t ready to give up.
I rate this 9/10 because while he went to work he still didn’t find Herbie and i rated it 9/10 because he said he wasn’t ready to give up looking for Herbie.
On the fourth day, when he returned to search, Steve tuned in slowly and followed the signal.
I rate this 10/10 because he still searched for Herbie and didn’t give up so I rate this 10/10.
